The team from the CRE in Telehealth is delighted to invite you to another forum of its monthly series on Friday, 2 December. Please join us for a presentation by Dr Sophie Cockcroft, Lecturer in Business Information Systems, UQ Business School. Sophie will look at the role of the organisation as an actor in telemedicine adoption. The work focusses on the Whole System Demonstrator Project in the UK, and examines the trajectory of three implementations by three different Primary Care Trusts. In all cases the mandate for adoption came from the national/government level. The presentation will outline project findings on the relationship between telehealth intervention and admissions, barriers to participation, experience of frontline health care professionals and organisational alignment. In particular exploring how the identity of an organisation as an actor impacts on the implementation of innovation.

Join us at the forum held on Friday, 2 December from 11:00am-12:00pm in the Translational Research Institute (TRI) seminar room 2007 at the PA Hospital. A light lunch will follow the forum. All welcome. No registration required. Do not hesitate to circulate the forum details to colleagues who could be interested. For more information, contact Dominique Bird.
